My wife Ginevra and I purchased the site in 1998 and set about reclaiming this derelict Nursery to establish our own family run Nursery business, which we re-named Shurdington Nurseries.
Over the last 20 years the Nursery has had to develop in a direction that the market dictates to continue operating. It has now become a focal point for discerning landscapers providing horticultural supplies, turf, topsoil, mushroom compost, aggregates, sand and cement. we also pride ourselves on providing professional knowledge to businesses and the retail trade within the Gloucestershire catchment area.
The main business involves the sale of turf in different grades from bowling green to domestic lawns and wildflower turf. We also provide topsoil to BS 3882 and mushroom compost. All these products are sold in bulk.
As a sector of the business, my son Stuart has taken on supply of trees, shrubs, hardy perennials, hedging plants together with bagged compost and mulches.
We aim to provide a friendly, efficient service by qualified experienced horticultural/landscaping staff.
